Marma Therapy is a deeply restorative Ayurvedic treatment that works with the body’s 108 vital energy points, known as Marmas, to awaken, soften or redirect the flow of prāṇa, the life-force energy that animates the body, mind and senses. These sacred points are places where the physical body, subtle body and consciousness meet. They are also areas where muscles, veins, arteries, tendons, bones and joints come together, creating powerful gateways through which energy may be influenced. Through gentle, intentional touch, Marma points are activated to encourage the movement of prāṇa, soften energetic stagnation and invite the body into greater harmony. Marma Therapy works more subtly, moving beyond the muscles into the energetic pathways of the body. Your Marma Therapy Experience Treatment is performed fully clothed, with point therapy throughout the body and additional attention to the head, hands and feet. Warm aromatic oils may be applied to the head, hands and feet, adding nourishment, grounding and sensory indulgence.
